Soleil Gown

  • Some of our silks and laces are very delicate. Please take care with sharp jewelry when handling and trying on your gown.

  • Transport your gown in a vehicle where you can lay down the back seat this helps eliminate the need for extra pressing or steaming.

  • Hang your gown as high as possible when you get home, perhaps a door frame. Leave in the bag to prevent dust or bugs from landing on your gown. Open the bottom of the bag and spread the train out to avoid wrinkles lay a clean sheet on the floor if the bag is not big enough.

  • When traveling long distances with your gown, it may need to be touched up. If you cannot have it professionally steamed/ pressed when you arrive at your location, make sure you use a white, flat sheet as a pressing cloth between the clean sole plate of your iron and your gown. Only use a low heat setting.

  • We recommend you have your gown professionally cleaned soon after your wedding/event

Store your gown properly - After your wedding, have your gown professionally cleaned and stored in a pH-neutral, acid-free box. Avoid storing it in a plastic bag, as plastic can trap moisture and cause damage to the fabric.

Handle with care - When handling your gown, always wash your hands thoroughly and avoid touching the fabric with bare hands. Avoid eating or drinking while wearing your gown to prevent stains.

Be cautious with cleaning products - If you need to spot-clean your gown, use a gentle, non-bleach cleaner and test it on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid harsh chemicals, such as bleach or hydrogen peroxide.

Handle stains promptly - If you do get a stain on your gown, address it promptly. Use a clean, white cloth to blot the stain, rather than rubbing it. Avoid using heat or steam, as this can set the stain.

Get your gown professionally cleaned and preserved - Ideally, have your gown professionally cleaned and preserved as soon as possible after your wedding. Look for a specialist who uses museum-quality techniques and materials to ensure your gown is properly preserved.
